6 Romance Books You Must Add To Your Immediate TBR

Whenever I search social media posts, people ALWAYS want to know what your most favourite books are. Am I right?! I have a really hard time picking favourites, but these 6 books are forever ingrained in my brain.

1. Wild Love by Elsie Silver

Ok but for real - have you ever read Elsie Silver's small town cowboy romances?! You may have heard of her Chesnut Springs books (which are also some of my favs!) that have been bestsellers for a while now. Well, I was lucky enough to get an ARC (Advanced Readers Copy) of her newest book, Wild Love, and let me tell you. DADDY FORD IS WHERE IT'S AT.
Elsie just knows how write the broody men while throwing in SO MUCH ANGST. I just feel like the more angst, the better the book honestly.
Wild Love features Ford and Rosie, who are the dynamic childhood friends to lovers (*swoon*). They start off pretending to hate each other and have the best banter. To me, Ford seemed to stay under the radar a lot.... UNTIL HIS FILTHY MOUTH CAME OUT. Yum.
This book comes out April 9th, 2024...so make sure you add it to *cart*!
2. One Look by Lena Hendrix
Lena is the ultimate leading lady of small town romances. I mean, she starts off this Outtatowner series with Lark, who gets *paid* to cry at funerals. Like if that isn't humor, I don't know what is!
Lark and single daddy Wyatt eventually meet and OF COURSE he's just the biggest grump. I was hooked from Page 1 and Lena just knows how to write the sexual tension. There is 4 books in this series and I CRUSHED THEM ALL BACK TO BACK. That's how good they are. Please do yourself a favor and start these books immediately.
3. Caught Up by Liz Tomforde
OK, if you don't know by now...Liz is one of my most favourite authors. This is Book #3 in the Windy City series but it was by far the best (in my opinion). Each book has a sports playing MMC and a badass FMC. Boom, winning.
This is (shocker) another single dad recommendation. I *think* you get the hint as to what my preferences really are. Daddy Kai has a young son and a MLB career - both which he is trying to juggle. Kai really wants to be the best dad but obviously needs help. In walks the coaches daughter, Miller. This book had so much angst in it and you were just ROOTING for both of them to get together. Miller is a take no shit type of gal and really pushes hard not get in a relationship. But then enters her job as Kai's nanny, and she falls in love with not only the baby but Kai too. *SWOON*
You absolutely do not need to read this series in order, but I highly encourage you to read all 3 of Liz's books anyways :)
4. Alive & Wells by Bailey Hannah
OK where do I start with this one? This was one of my first cowboy romances, and it will forever be engrained in my brain. I read this book TWICE (which if you know me, you know that it's very rare for me to do that).
Austin & Cecily are just top notch characters. Austin - the grumpy, 'I don't need anyone' cowboy and Cecily - the independent, but needs help to get over her trauma city girl. Cecily is running away from her abusive ex-husband and finds redemption at Wells Ranch.
Even after everything that Cecily has been through, her sunshine always shines through. Which is how Austin ends up falling in love with her, of course. The growth of these two characters is just beautiful to see. This book was a page turner and I simply could not put it down. The suspense part of the book kept me hooked as well (Will Cecily's husband come and find her?!).
If you've read this book and love Bailey's writing, then you MUST read her second book Seeing Red, which comes out April 23rd. IT'S SO FREAKING GOOD.
5. Where We Started by Ashley Munoz
Am I a sucker for a good MC club romance? Yes, yes I am! This is a childhood friends to lovers romance, with a side of pure hatred (which makes the spicy scenes even better, am I right?). This was my first book of Ashley's and her story telling is just spectacular. Wes + Callie grew up together, when Callie was seeking Wes out during her hard childhood. Things happen and Callie finds a new life elsewhere. Callie and Wes reunite after 10 years apart (and after Callie's dad, the MC club president, dies.)
The past gets brought up, feelings are hurt. But you know what I just LOVE?! When that history is there, sexual tension is wild and they just REALLY can't help themselves. And when the spice hits, it hits soooo good.
5. Three Hearts Hideaway by Luna Day
Gosh, there is so much to love about this book. First off, it is Insta-love so there is your fair warning. BUT I really loved that aspect of this book. For a debut novel, this book was a banger.
It radiates so much sex positivity, which I absolutely ADORED. It gave me all of those good feels.
This features Ava who is running away from her emotionally abusive boyfriend (he essentially shames her because of her sexual tastes - what a dick.) She lands in a town where Roman and Logan find her. They own the local B&B, so naturally they take her in when she has no where else to stay.
Let's just say that these men make her feel SO good. Holy moly, the SPICE. I love how Roman and Logan each had their own personality (Roman is the lover, Logan is the fighter) which complimented Ava just nicely. Ava felt loved, wanted and she was able to free her sexual energy in a safe environment. WINNING.
OK, well there you have it. You have reached inside my head and pulled out some of my most favourite romance books. You're welcome ;)
